She came / comes form Hāna. // i.e. Hāna is her home or birthplace.//

This candy is from here in Hawaiʻi. // It is made in Hawaiʻi. //

Whose telephone is that?, Who is that telephone for?

(That telephone belongs to whom?,  That telephone is for whom?)

Na wai kēnā kelepona?

This (one) belongs to Nani. This one is for Nani.

Na Nani kēia (mea).

This (one) is mine. This (one) is for me.

Naʻu kēia (mea).

It that your car over there? Do you own that car over there? Is that car over there for you? (Does that car over there belong to you? Is that car over there for you?)

Nou kēlā kaʻa ma ʻō?

ll be coming form there / that direction.

Mai laila mai ana au.

Who is this going to be for?

Na wai ana kēia?

Whoʻs going to be your teacher?

ʻO wai ana kāu kumu?
